  3:1   3668 ομοίως In like manner 3588 αι the 1135 γυναίκες wives, 5293 υποτασσόμεναι being submitted 3588 τοις to their 2398 ιδίοις own 435 ανδράσιν husbands; 2443 ίνα that 2532 και even 1536 ει τινες if any 544 απειθούσι resist persuasion 3588 τω to the 3056 λόγω word, 1223 διά by 3588 της the 3588 των [²of the 1135 γυναικών ³wives 391 αναστροφής ¹behavior 427 άνευ ⁵without 3056 λόγου ⁶a word 2770 κερδηθήσονται ⁴they shall be gained],   3:2   2029 εποπτεύσαντες having scrutinized 3588 την   1722 εν [⁴in 5401 φόβω ⁵fear 53 αγνήν ²pure 391 αναστροφήν ³behavior 1473 υμών ¹your].   3:3   3739 ων Whom 1510.5-3756 έστω ουχ let there not be 3588 ο the 1855 έξωθεν outward 1708 εμπλοκής braiding 2359 τριχών of hair, 2532 και and 4025 περιθέσεως adornment 5553 χρυσίων of gold 2228 η or 1745 ενδύσεως clothing 2440 ιματίων of garments 2889 κόσμος of ornamentation!   3:4   235 αλλ΄ But let it be 3588 ο the 2927 κρυπτός hidden 3588 της [²of the 2588 καρδίας ³heart 444 άνθρωπος ¹mankind], 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 862 αφθάρτω incorruptible ornament 3588 του of the 4239 πραέος gentle 2532 και and 2272 ησυχίου unassuming 4151 πνεύματος spirit, 3739 ο which 1510.2.3 εστιν is 1799 ενώπιον [²in the presence of 3588 του   2316 θεού ³of God 4185 πολυτελές ¹lavish].   3:5   3779-1063 ούτω γαρ For thus 4218 ποτε at some time or other 2532 και also 3588 αι the 39 άγιαι holy 1135 γυναίκες women, 3588 αι the ones 1679 ελπίζουσαι hoping 1909 επί upon 3588 τον   2316 θεόν God, 2885 εκόσμουν adorned 1438 εαυτάς themselves, 5293 υποτασσόμεναι being submitted 3588 τοις to their 2398 ιδίοις own 435 ανδράσιν husbands;   3:6   5613 ως as * Σάρρα Sarah 5219 υπήκουσε obeyed 3588 τω to * Αβραάμ Abraham, 2962 κύριον [³lord 1473 αυτόν ²him 2564 καλούσα ¹calling]; 3739 ης of whom 1096 εγενήθητε you became 5043 τέκνα children, 15 αγαθοποιούσαι doing good 2532 και and 3361 μη not 5399 φοβούμεναι fearing 3367 μηδεμίαν with any 4423 πτόησιν terror.   3:7   3588 οι The 435 άνδρες husbands, 3668 ομοίως in like manner, 4924 συνοικούντες living with them 2596 κατά according to 1108 γνώσιν knowledge, 5613 ως as 772 ασθενεστέρω being a weaker 4632 σκεύει utensil 3588 τω in the 1134 γυναικείω feminine way, 632 απονέμοντες bestowing 5092 τιμήν honor 5613 ως as 2532 και also 4789 συγκληρονόμοι joint-heirs 5484 χάριτος of favor 2222 ζώης of life, 1519-3588-3361 εις το μη so as to not 1465 εγκόπτεσθαι hinder 3588 τας   4335-1473 προσευχάς υμών your prayers.   3:8   3588-1161 το δε But the 5056 τέλος conclusion -- 3956 πάντες all be 3675 ομόφρονες agreeing, 4835 συμπαθείς sympathizing, 5361 φιλάδελφοι having brotherly affection, 2155 εύσπλαγχνοι compassionate, 5391 φιλόφρονες obliging,   3:9   3361 μη not 591 αποδιδόντες rendering 2556 κακόν evil 473 αντί for 2556 κακού evil, 2228 η or 3059 λοιδορίαν reviling 473 αντί for 3059 λοιδορίας reviling; 5121-1161 τουναντίον δε but on the other hand, 2127 ευλογούντες blessing, 1492 ειδότες knowing 3754 ότι that 1519 εις in 3778 τούτο this 2564 εκλήθητε you were called, 2443 ίνα that 2129 ευλογίαν [²a blessing 2816 κληρονομήσητε ¹you should inherit].   3:10   3588-1063 ο γαρ For the one 2309 θέλων wanting 2222 ζωήν [²life 25 αγαπάν ¹to love], 2532 και and 1492 ιδείν to behold 2250 ημέρας [²days 18 αγαθάς ¹good], 3973 παυσάτω let him cease 3588 την   1100-1473 γλώσσαν αυτού his tongue 575 από from 2556 κακού evil, 2532 και and 5491-1473 χείλη αυτού his lips 3588 του   3361-2980 μη λαλήσαι to not speak 1388 δόλον deceit!   3:11   1578 εκκλινάτω Let him turn aside 575 από from 2556 κακού evil, 2532 και and 4160 ποιησάτω let him do 18 αγαθόν good! 2212 ζητησάτω Let him seek 1515 ειρήνην peace, 2532 και and 1377 διωξάτω pursue 1473 αυτήν it!   3:12   3754 ότι For 3588 οι the 3788 οφθαλμοί eyes 2962 κυρίου of the Lord 1909 επί are upon 1342 δικαίους the righteous, 2532 και and 3775-1473 ώτα αυτού his ears 1519 εις towards 1162-1473 δέησιν αυτών their supplication. 4383-1161 πρόσωπον δε But the face 2962 κυρίου of the Lord 1909 επί is against 4160 ποιούντας the ones doing 2556 κακά evil.   3:13   2532 και And 5100 τις who is 3588 ο the one 2559 κακώσων afflicting 1473 υμάς you, 1437 εάν if 3588 του [³of the 18 αγαθού ⁴good 3402 μιμηταί ²mimics 1096 γένησθε ¹you should become]?   3:14   235 αλλ΄ But 1487 ει if 2532 και also 3958 πάσχοιτε you may suffer 1223 διά because of 1343 δικαιοσύνην righteousness, 3107 μακάριοι blessed are you; 3588-1161 τον δε but the 5401 φόβον fear 1473 αυτών of them 3361 μη you should not 5399 φοβηθήτε fear, 3366 μηδέ nor 5015 ταραχθήτε should you be disturbed.   3:15   2962 κύριον [³the Lord 1161 δε ¹But 3588 τον   2316 θεόν ⁴God 37 αγιάσατε ²sanctify] 1722 εν in 3588 ταις   2588-1473 καρδίαις υμών your hearts, 2092-1161 έτοιμοι δε and be ready 104 αεί continually 4314 προς for 627 απολογίαν a defense 3956 παντί to all, 3588 τω to the one 154 αιτούντι asking 1473 υμάς you 3056 λόγον a word 4012 περί concerning 3588 της the 1722 εν [²in 1473 υμίν ³you 1680 ελπίδος ¹hope], 3326 μετά with 4240 πραϋτητος gentleness 2532 και and 5401 φόβου fear;   3:16   4893 συνείδησιν [³conscience 2192 έχοντες ¹having 18 αγαθήν ²a good], 2443 ίνα that 1722 εν in 3739 ω what 2635 καταλαλώσιν they should speak ill 1473 υμών of you 5613 ως as 2555 κακοποιών ones doing evil, 2617 καταισχυνθώσιν [⁸should be put to shame 3588 οι ¹the ones 1908 επηρεάζοντες ²threatening 1473 υμών ³your 3588 την   18 αγαθήν ⁴good 1722 εν ⁶in 5547 χριστώ ⁷Christ 391 αναστροφήν ⁵behavior].   3:17   2908-1063 κρείττον γαρ For it is better 15 αγαθοποιούντας [⁷for doing good 1487 ει ¹if 2309 θέλοι ⁵wants you 3588 το ²the 2307 θέλημα ³will 3588 του   2316 θεού ⁴of God 3958 πάσχειν ⁶to suffer], 2228 η than 2554 κακοποιούντας doing evil.   3:18   3754 ότι For 2532-5547 και χριστός Christ also 530 άπαξ [²once 4012 περί ³for 266 αμαρτιών ⁴sins 3958 έπαθε ¹suffered], 1342 δίκαιος the just 5228 υπέρ for 94 αδίκων the unjust, 2443 ίνα that 1473-4317 ημάς προσαγάγη he should lead us forward 3588 τω to 2316 θεώ God, 2289 θανατωθείς having put to death 3303 μεν indeed 4561 σαρκί the flesh, 2227-1161 ζωοποιηθείς δε but being restored to life 3588 τω to the 4151 πνεύματι spirit;   3:19   1722 εν in 3739 ω which 2532 και also 3588 τοις [³to the 1722 εν ⁵in 5438 φυλακή ⁶prison 4151 πνεύμασι ⁴spirits 4198 πορευθείς ¹having gone 2784 εκήρυξεν ²he proclaimed],   3:20   544 απειθήσασί to the ones who disobeyed 4218 ποτε at some time or other, 3753 ότε when 530 άπαξ once 1209 εδέχετο [⁴was accepted 3588 η ¹the 3588 του   2316 θεού ³of God 3115 μακροθυμία ²long-suffering] 1722 εν in 2250 ημέραις the days * Νώε of Noah, 2680 κατασκευαζομένης carefully preparing 2787 κιβωτού the ark, 1519 εις in 3739 ην which 3641 ολίγαι few, 5123 τουτ΄ έστιν that is to say, 3638 οκτώ eight 5590 ψυχαί souls 1295 διεσώθησαν were preserved 1223 δι΄ through 5204 ύδατος water.   3:21   3739 ο Which 2532 και [²also 1473 ημάς ⁵us 499 αντίτυπον ¹antitype 3568 νυν ³now 4982 σώζει ⁴delivers] -- 908 βάπτισμα immersion, 3756 ου not 4561 σαρκός the flesh 595 απόθεσις getting rid of 4509 ρύπου filth, 235 αλλά but 4893 συνειδήσεως [³conscience 18 αγαθής ²of a good 1906 επερώτημα ¹the response] 1519 εις towards 2316 θεόν God, 1223 δι΄ through 386 αναστάσεως the resurrection * Ιησού of Jesus 5547 χριστού Christ,   3:22   3739 ος who 1510.2.3 εστιν is 1722 εν at 1188 δεξιά the right 3588 του   2316 θεού of God, 4198 πορευθείς being gone 1519 εις into 3772 ουρανόν heaven, 5293 υποταγέντων [⁶being submitted 1473 αυτώ ⁷to him 32 αγγέλων ¹with angels 2532 και ²and 1849 εξουσιών ³authorities 2532 και ⁴and 1411 δυνάμεων ⁵powers].
